Holmgren says Jones' motivation over being dumped by Dallas last season before he became a free agent was the primary reason he is choosing to start him.
Jones has 637 yards rushing and two touchdowns in 11 games, nine starts, this season. He started while Morris missed three games early in the season with a sprained knee.
Morris has 278 yards rushing in eight games, two starts.
Holmgren has said since the preseason he would use both backs interchangeably throughout the season.
