NFL Alumni honor Jason Witten, DeMarcus Ware
Tight end Jason Witten and outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware were among the 10 players voted by the NFL Alumni as Player of the Year honorees.
Former players vote for the current players at the positions they once played. Witten and Ware will be honored Jan. 30 at the Hyatt Regency in Tampa prior to Super Bowl XLIII for the 27th annual Player of the Year Awards Dinner. They will receive their award from a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame who played their position.
