Wade Phillips: 'Doug Free is one of our best run blockers'

On if it was good seeing K David Buehler go a perfect 6-of-6 today on field goal attempts:
"Yes, it's good when our kicker doesn't miss any. It makes you more confident. He's been
working at it and I do think he's gifted. He obviously has a strong leg, but I think he has some smooth delivery of the ball. When he hits it, he doesn't hit a hook. Some of the sidewinders hit a hook type ball. His is more straight, and end-over-end and usually that's the best candidate for field goal kickers, and he hits the ball well that way. I actually think he's kicking the ball off better. I know he did really well last year, but he's worked on kicking it to his left more; you probably noticed he kicked a lot of them to the right last year. But he's controlling the ball better on his kickoffs. He's working on what he does, and I think he's going to come along well. He said he could outrun the new guy, but I won't let them run against each other."

On if he has any experience with track athletes who make the transition to football:
"Some guys, but not world class. This guy's exceptional in that area. Anybody's that's run a 9.9 100 meters - not many guys can say that, so he's in a unique group. But he did play football in high school, and he did play in Texas high school which you know he probably had good coaching and good background. That's a start. He didn't seem shy.
